Born in the small town of
Alliance, Nebraska, Roddy Love was influenced by
various genres of music from the time he was just a toddler. Raised the
son of a singing preacher/gospel music producer and a mother who still
plays a mean gospel piano, he learned his musical roots every Sunday
morning when they sang and performed together as a family. Roddy, along
with his older brother and parents often traveled from church to church,
singing songs while Roddy wrote them along the way. As an adult, Roddy
ventured into heavy metal, rock and roll, pop and country music
songwriting and performing. In 1986, he met a young singer named Heidi
Milla. They became musical partners and in 1990 got hitched! Together,
they have written, performed and worked with various writers and musicians
including, Merle Haggard, Brad Gillis (Night Ranger), Sammy Kershaw, Lonestar, Jerry Corbetta (Sugar Loaf), Steven Seskin (“Grown Men Don’t
Cry”, “Don’t Laugh at Me”), Dewayne Blackwell (“Friends in Low Places”)
and rising country star Casey Simpson. Roddy is also a very gifted and
talented artist in Napa Valley, California. His clients all over northern
California treasure his beautiful works. When he’s not writing songs, he’s
painting paintings. This spring of 2005, Roddy and his wife “Milla” a.k.a.
Heidi, are making one of the biggest moves of their lives. They are coming
to Nashville! They both look forward to writing with other writers and
making new friends and a new life in Tennessee. |
